Parallel Electric Ltd. provides high-end custom solutions for electrical, data/communications and fire alarm in the institutional, industrial, residential and commercial sectors for our expanding base of clients. We service Ontario clients spanning from Belleville, Quinte Area, Kingston, Hastings County, Cobourg, Bancroft/ Peterborough to Prince Edward County.

Location: 255 Station St, Belleville, ON.

Job Overview:

We are currently looking to hire a new 309A Electrician to join our team. This position requires maturity, eagerness, responsibility, excellent problem-solving abilities, independent thinking, the ability to work with a team or independently, and physical fitness. We will be selecting one 309A Electrician to join our team based on the specifications following:

Required Expectations/Qualifications:

- Hold a current 309A license

- Experience in Commercial and Industrial, (Fire Alarm is not mandatory)

- 2 years or more of current experience (Preferably)

- Valid G class driver’s license with a clean driving record

- Have a clean police record check

- Must obtain strong problem solving, and communication skills

- Detail-oriented

- Be able to work with a team, an apprentice, as well as independently

- Experience operating hand and power tools, and fault-testing equipment

- The ability to read blueprint documents and apply your work from it

- The ability to work overtime when necessary, (past 5:00 pm on a weekday. Weekend work (Not open weekends, unless a project absolutely requires it.)

- The ability to promote a positive company image and professionalism to colleagues and clients

- Up to date Health and Safety certificates including (WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Arrest, Elevated Platform, Lock Out & Tag Out, Arch Flash, Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, Asbestos Awareness) Note* If an employee does not have certificates they will be responsible to obtain them.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position Include:

1. Completion of paperwork as per company policy and client requests

2. Troubleshooting industrial systems

3. Installation of conduit and wire systems complete with terminations of conductors

4. Installation of electrical components

5. Installation of electrical systems with efficiency and safety

6. Installing electrical systems with the latest electrical codes/Thorough knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code

7. Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment.

8. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment.

9. Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

10. Commitment to safety in the workplace

11. Reviewing completed projects with the customer to ensure complete satisfaction

12. Maintain a clean work area at all times

- Please note* There will be a signing bonus of $1500
