Haulage North America (HNA Group) is a trucking company based in Brampton / Orangeville and Buffalo NY.

Job Location- Brampton ON

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Process accounts payable
  • Process accounts receivable
  • Post journal entries
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger
  • Prepare bank statements and monthly reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain filing systems to organize sales records and prepare reports
  • Maintain all AR customer files
  • Follow-upon collections and resolve customer queries through the reconciliation of accounts and process adjustments
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  • maintain professional relationships with vendors and clients
  • Assist Finance department with filing invoices, matching POs etc. if needed
  • Setting up new accounts and running credit checks
  • Making daily calls to due accounts and following up on overdue accounts
  • Preparing accounts receivable related reports
  • Process expense reports
  • Process employee payroll if requested

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in bookkeeping, accounting or other relevant programs
  • Previous experience as a bookkeeper.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Tech-savvy, with a high level of proficiency in learning and using new and various software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work to a strict deadline.
  • Work well independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • At least 1-2 years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • University or college degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Must have experience with Quickbooks
  • 1-2 years related experience in AR or general accounting
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent telephone manners
  • Self-motivation with a desire to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
