Job description
Imperial is recruiting a machinery engineering student at our oil sands production facility in Cold Lake, Alberta.
The successful candidate will work with the asset Machinery engineer to support our machinery program and interface with the operations, maintenance and technical teams. This includes surveillance of operating performance including recommendations to improve performance and reliability. Providing machinery input for change events including operating or setpoint changes, interfacing with vendors on repair plans, and specifying equipment for new projects.
Qualifications
Academic:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering
- Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
- Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential
- To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application
Other:
- Commitment to safety on and off the job
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the role
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results
- A valid driver’s license required

Work term: 8, 12 or 16 months

Eligibility to work in Canada
