Pures College of Technology is looking for outstanding individuals to join our faculty team. We invite applications for part-time faculty to teach the following course: Communication. If you have the qualifications and experience to teach these courses, we invite you to apply.
Overview:
The Instructor provides an enriching learning environment for students by using holistic and career-oriented teaching methods. By maintaining an organized and structured classroom environment, the Instructor helps ensure that students are progressing effectively. The administration of assignments, tests, projects and exams will help students stay engaged and provide the Instructor with an accurate gauge of student success. The Instructor works under the guidance and supervision of the Department of Academic Affairs at the College. The position is a "Day Time" teaching position which requires you to have previous teaching experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture and or laboratory format based on the approved curricula
- Implement and manage company policies and procedures such as attendance, grade reports, midterm reports, student advising forms, and all other assigned educational materials on a timely basis
- Timely completion and submission of all grade books and marking of all tests, examinations and assignments
- Participate in faculty/staff meetings, committee meetings, professional development workshops, graduation ceremonies, and other school functions as requested.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a completed Communications Degree or Diploma at a recognized post-secondary institution.
- A minimum of two years teaching experience in a post-secondary Diploma level program.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the sector or a related sector.
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level;
- Strong network of contacts with other professionals, organizations and employers;
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrable ability to convey the conceptual and applied aspects of knowledge to a broad range of students;
- Committed to excellence in teaching and learning.
