About the position:

Our Delivery Driver is an integral member of the operations team, who is responsible for ensuring our freight is safely picked up and delivered to our valuable customers. The Delivery Driver is provided a designated company vehicle and is assigned a predetermined route to promote familiarity and an opportunity to build relationships with our customers. This position is physically demanding and best suited for persons who strive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have comfort and experience with GTA deliveries

Position Responsibilities

· Complete pick-ups and deliveries throughout the shift.

· Assist in the loading and unloading of items delivered to the warehouse.

· Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and operate company equipment safely.

· Daily submission and completion of all required documentation.

· Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher.

· Flexible may be required for shift start and end times, within reasonable HOS requirements.

· Knowledge of HTA and general commercial safety requirements

· PPE required to be worn at all times on the worksite, on the customer site and in any yard (vest and shoes)

Experience Requirement:

· 2-3 years of commercial driving experience

· Clean drivers abstract and CVOR report

· Valid G class drivers license required

· Team player with a professional attitude for ensuring positive relations with customers and colleagues

· Comfortable working independently, self-starter

· Good communication skills, comfortable multi-tasking skills and can meet deadlines

· Overall hardworking, and very detail-oriented

· Highly organized and maintains a presentable work environment

· You have strong problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

· Required to be able to physically lift to 50-70 lbs

· Repetitive movement for loading and unloading (some locations using pump-truck/ electric walkie)

· Sitting for up to 8 hours per day

· Walking for up to 8 hours per day

· Driving for up to 8 hours per day

Environment:

· No chemical exposure

· Standard driving environment, with exposure to warehouse environment, road/ weather conditions and various client sites

$25.12/hr. + Benefits for full time only
