Job title: Delivery driver

Salary: Salary to be discussed up interview. There will be a training wage per day. Once training is finished, the wage is based on commission.

Hours: 5 days-6 days/ week depending on route 40+ hours/week

Location: Our Bakery is in Glace Bay. Deliveries are around Cape Breton Regional Municipality primarily in Glace Bay and New Waterford.

Availability: Must be available full time.

Driving experience: Must have minimum of three years’ Canadian verifiable experience operating and be licensed nine or more years.

Purpose of the position: Looking for a driver/merchandiser for bakery products with a well-established company. We are looking for a reliable, dependable person who will take initiative and is looking for a fulltime job. Someone who is quick and eager to learn is an asset. We will train you.

Qualification and Credentials: Class 5 Drivers license. Must have good public relations. Must have minimum of three years’ verifiable experience operating and be licensed nine or more years. Must be able to provide an appropriate experience letter detailing your heavy vehicles driving history.

Key responsibilities & duties: The run starts in early mornings, 5:00 am. Key responsibilities include loading the truck with your product for the day, delivering the product to stores, making out the bills with the help of a tablet, merchandising the product, checking for dates on the shelves, rotating product. Placing an order for the next delivery day. You will be trained how to do the above.

Physical Demands It is a physical job as you are moving stacks of

product around with the help of a dolly.

Work Environment For the most part of the job, you are working on your own while out delivering the product.
