About Us: NVK Nurseries is one of Canada's largest wholesale nurseries serving customers throughout Canada and several Northeastern
U.S. states. We operate in the West Flamborough area of Southern
Ontario on over 1000 acres and employ more than 200 employees.
An additional 250 acres are under contract production in the local area. We rely on more than 100 specialty nurseries from across

About the Role: This is a seasonal position with full-time hours running from April to November. The candidate will be responsible for driving to sites and unloading materials to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Good customer relations an extension of sales staff
• Safely operate a company vehicle to transport plants
• Follow established routes and time schedules
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle

Requirements

• Needs to be 25 or older for insurances reasons
• Has a valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
• Experienced and comfortable driving in the Toronto area
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Is physically able and can perform tasks such as bending and lifting
• Ability to work early morning shifts
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Is punctual, reliable, and honest
• Treat others with respect and kindness

Experience: Experience as a driver or experience in the horticultural industry is an asset.

Work Hours: Early mornings, exact times to be determined.

Contract length: 6 months
