Simcoe Building Centre in Barrie, is looking to fill the position of Delivery Driver Helper. We specialize in the selling of building materials as well as exceptional customer service. As a Delivery Driver Helper, you will be assisting our Delivery Drivers on daily deliveries around Simcoe Muskoka and the GTA. This position requires both physical labour but also the ability to work long hours. We deliver an array of products, which can range from lumber to drywall and windows. This individual must be able to lift at least 60 lbs.

This position is Monday to Friday with the voluntary Saturday as an option.

We are looking for an energetic, loyal and dedicated employee who are commitment and enjoy the physical aspects of work.

Our start times ranging from 4:30 am to 7 am daily. This position requires that the individual be available for all ranging start times.

Along with the hourly rate, Simcoe Building Centre also offers drywall carrying bonus for our driver and driver helpers. For every hour that an employee is carrying drywall, there is a 2 dollar bonus per hour. Further information can be discussed during the interview process.

If needed, our delivery driver helpers will drive a chase vehicle. G License required to drive a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Delivery driver helper experience is an asset not a requirement
• Can work both independently and as a team.
• Able to lift at least 60 pounds.
• Must be available to work the varying start times.
• Follow instructions given by the delivery driver and dispatch.
• Stay in constant communication with the delivery driver during the delivery process to ensure all products are being delivered on time and remain undamaged upon delivery.
• Work alongside a team of 2 to 5 individuals depending on the day.
