With many exciting projects in the pipeline, Naikoon is entering a period of growth. A pioneer in values-driven construction, we’re already driving new standards in energy-efficiency, mass timber, prefabrication, and virtual construction.
Naikoon has developed an industry name and reputation in the high performance Custom Homes space while completing over 60 luxury homes in the lower mainland over the past 13 years. We now require a new Leader, a Division Manager for Custom Homes, to carry that torch and assume full Leadership and Accountability of client satisfaction, team health and to growth to maintain Naikoon’s Brand as the leader in Custom Homes. This will be a transition from the current leader who now needs to focus their efforts on growth and development of the Commercial Business Division at Naikoon.
Division Manager for Custom Homes will be accountable for:
- General Management and total accountability of the Custom Homes Division. This typically includes approximately 8-10 luxury homes under construction ranging from $1.5 mil to $9 million each and 10-15 projects in pre-construction.
- Division Resource and Capacity Management. This includes growing and maintain team health of up to 30 staff
- Client, Employee, Shareholder Satisfaction
- Sale to Post occupancy client interface including initial client contact and qualification. You will be the main Client interface for new and ongoing Custom Home and renovation projects with support from the President as required
- Contract negotiation, risk and purchasing strategies with support from Controller and President
- Leadership, Relationship Management, Team health
- Predicting, Inspecting and Reporting, P/L management.
- Processes FBA (followed by all), EOS implementation and maintenance.
- QA/QC with support from Director of Technical Operations
- You will report directly to the President and be a part of the Leadership Team
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum 15 years of residential Project and Construction Business Management experience in custom housing or similar
- Post-Secondary Education (Diploma or Degree) in a construction related field
- Business education would be an asset
- You are a people person and have a natural ability to predict and prevent
- You are an exceptional communicator in any situation and have the ability to adapt, influence and achieve objectives in complex situations
- Experience in running a business or division of a business successfully in the past
- Experience with High Performance Housing including Net Zero and Passive House would be an asset. Interest in this is a requirement
- Experience with mass timber, pre-fabrication and light wood framed structures is an asset
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing and leading people, department operations, managing budgets, and leading, managing and growing a strong team
- Proven track record to plan and execute projects on time and on budget through people
- Demonstrated financial management skills, communication skills and organizational skills
- Ability to utilize or understand technology as required: Google Workspace, Buildertrend, BIM Software (Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp) an asset
- PMP Certification (asset)
- MBA (Asset)
- Architectural or engineering background could be an asset
