POSITION IS LOCATED IN DIGBY NOVA SCOTIA
Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa is hiring an imaginative and energetic Event Experiences Manager to lead coordination of a suite of creative guest activities and special events on-site, attracting year-round visitation and extending the guest length of stay. The Experience Manager has proven ability in generating and managing activities/special events that inspire visitation, and in social media marketing. Reporting to the Resort’s General Manager as a member of the management team, the successful candidate is creative and can monitor and budget activities. The Pines is an historic and full-service year-round resort located on the seacoast in picturesque Digby, Nova Scotia.
Primary responsibilities:
Working closely with the department heads to develop and lead execution of a 12-month calendar of on-site events to attract visitation, extend guest length of stay and spend onsite and to increase guest satisfaction.
To complete this task the manager:
o Creates partnerships with internal department, suppliers and specialists as need be
o Reports progress and monitors impact of events
o Recommends marketing approaches to support events/experiences
- In line with a social media marketing plan, has the proven ability to write and post social media content complementary to that generated by an agency of record.

Education and Experience
Degree from an accredited college/university in event planning, hotel and restaurant management; 2 years experience required.
OR
High school diploma and 5 years experience in event management.

- Knowledge of digital publishing is an asset.
- Time flexibility as events may often occur in evenings/weekends.
