Experienced Pipeline Heavy Equipment Hauler (Class 1) Job at Weaver Group Ltd

WGL specializes in Pipeline, Facility, and Civil Construction. We have grown from a single crew operation to a company that employs 500 full and part-time workers. With offices in Peace River, Grande Prairie, and Fort St John.
We currently have a position for an EXPERIENCED PIPELINE HEAVY EQUIPMENT HAULER
Responsibilities:
- Operate a tractor-trailer combo to load and transport heavy equipment and oversized loads.
- Must be able to load and unload pipeline heavy equipment including: track hoes, dozers, side booms, stringing/lowering-in/setting tractors, skid steers, and arial lifts.
- Perform routine service & maintenance and maintain a clean unit.
- Must be willing to work away from home as required.
- Effective time management skills and journey management planning.
- Able to navigate directions using LSD coordinates and navigation systems.
- Communicate continuously with dispatch.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Current H2S, First Aid, and CSO/CSTS safety tickets.
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Knowledgeable of: DOT legislation and requirements, thorough pre/post-trip inspections, hours of service, proper load securement and completion of safety documentation.
- Highly safety conscious.
WGL has offices in both Peace River and Grande Prairie, our equipment is mobilized from both locations and we are currently accepting applications from both municipalities.
