We produce products with quality ingredients, having little or no preservatives and manage inventory to ensure consistent freshness and consistency with allergen controls.

Job description

West Coast Fresh Food seeks energetic team members who enjoy food production and the satisfaction of creating quality, food products for local businesses, food banks and retail outlets. We make a high volume of different types of sandwiches, cups of various food products as well as bakery items every day in a fast paced environment.

The successful candidates will be able to provide Food safe level 1 Certification, a minimum of one year working in the food and beverage industry or in a commercial kitchen or production facility, able to work independently as well as within a work group producing consistent size, and quality products. Experience is an asset with various methods of sealing , packaging and labeling food products.

A Covid 19 workplace safety program is in place for the protection of all who work in this non public accessed work space. Uniforms are provided and beyond a 3 month probationary period, a health benefits package is offered to permanent employees.

Regular production days are 7 days per week, however we are currently seeking candidates for a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8 hour shift in Nanaimo.
