Site: Hogarth Riverview Manor
Shifts: Days/Evenings including weekends
Rate of Pay: $20.22 - $21.58 per hour
St. Joseph's Care Group is seeking Food Service Workers for temporary part time positions at Hogarth Riverview Manor. If you are a caring, compassionate and committed individual, we want you to join our team!
Qualifications :
- Food Service Worker Certificate or currently enrolled or eligible for the program
- Must possess and maintain a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Minimum 2 years experience in large quantity food preparation, preferably in a health care or long-term care setting
- Must be knowledgeable about Canada's Food Guide, therapeutic diets Occupational Health and Safety and HACCP
- Previous experience with inventory and cost control in a food service operation
- Must be able to adequately read and write English
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment
- Must be able to work accurately, quickly and safely
- Cafeteria and catering experience an asset
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
- Offers of employment made to external candidates or internal candidates transferring into Long-Term Care are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the SJCG Immunization Policy IMS-04-006
or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date. If proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption is not provided, the offer of employment is rescinded.
