Spectrum is seeking Forestry Crewleaders and Timber Cruisers for our 2023 Timber Development Season

· Position will take place in Northern BC

· Positions available in January 2023

Compensation

· Hiring Incentive Bonus

· $290.00 to $320.00 per day, plus $30 per diem (when in remote camp)

The Ideal Candidate Would be Suitable for One of the following

Layout:

Cutblock layout and design

Road Layout and Traverse knowledge

Riparian identification and management strategies

Biogeoclimatic ecosystem classification and stratification

Soil texture identification

Plant and tree species identification

Traverse and assessment for road engineering cost estimates

Timber Cruising:

Fundamental knowledge of the 2020 Timber Cruising Manual (prerequisite for Timber Cruising only)

Strong skills in Forest Measurement Practices

Ability to train new cruising assistants

What You Bring

· 1 year experience in Block Layout OR

· 1 year experience in Timber Cruising

· ATV and Resource Road Driving experience

· Ability to lead and direct crews

· A safety conscious attitude

· The ability to be efficient, safe and timely in the field

· The demonstrated ability to both work independently and as part of a team

· The ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment
