McCain Fertilizer/Produce is currently seeking a general laborer based out of our Grand Falls NB Grain Location. Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the operation functions, while always ensuring a safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work with minimum supervision in a team environment
• Effective Verbal communication skills.
• Must work with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to operate a forklift, skid loader and ten wheeler would be an asset.
• Willing and capable to work at heights

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

• Foster a safe work environment and promote continuous improvement initiatives with regards to workplace safety
• Assist in performing preventive maintenance and repairs of all equipment and buildings
• Able to work extended hours during the busy season (Spring and Fall)
• Able to safely work loading and unloading rail cars
• Willing and capable of doing some exterior physical labor in varying weather conditions as required
• Capable of working in dusty environments
• Capable of learning Grading and Cleaning techniques under the directions of the Site supervisor
