Looking to fill 2 positions: AFTERNOON SHIFT: 2:30pm - 10:30pm

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, as a unionized employee, your business priorities within the Depot including but not limited to are Inspection of recycle pallets, Sorting the pallet and general warehousing responsibilities.

General Duties

• Contributes to and cooperates with the health and safety effort within the Depot.
• Understands, identifies and tailors production to the expectations of the production schedule and quality.
• Meets or exceeds the production standards for Depot activities.
• Adheres to Depot policies and procedures.
• Ensure pallets meet quality standards
• Ensure pallets are properly secured and stenciled as per Customers requirements
• Ensure plant is cleaned in a timely manner
• Ensure reclaimed lumber is cut to size as per daily requirements

Qualifications:

· Practical experience in a a production/industrial environment

· Experience working with Small tools and equipment

· Fitness level appropriate and able to manual labour

· Proficient math skills required for data recording and accounting purposes is a MUST.

• First Aid and WHMIS Training (an asset).
• Forklift Certification (as asset)

· Attention to detail while reading work instructions.

· Communication skills with a positive team player attitude (pitching in to do whatever is needed to get the job done).

· Must have proficient ability to read, write and speak English

· Minimum completion of High School

· Literacy/Numeracy at a High School level

Physical Requirements & Hours of Work:

· This position can be physically demanding and requires good physical fitness and strength, with the ability to lift over 45lbs, perform some overhead lifting, walking, sitting.

· PPE requirement – CSA Green& Orange safety shoes/boots, protective eyewear (provided), gloves (provided) and hearing protection (provided).

· Standard 40-hour workweek; Overtime available through extended shift hours and/or additional shifts on weekends.

· For safety purposes relating to the role, must have excellent vision (and able to identify colors) and hearing (able to hear emergency horns, whistles, and sirens).

Work Environment

· The depot is a fast paced work environment. Unionized.

· Working hours will be spent in the warehouse and Individuals may be required to restack fallen pallets by hand.

· Safety gear, such as glasses, gloves, and helmets must be worn on a regular basis. MASKS AT ALL TIMES - MANDATORY.

· Must be fully vaccinated and able to validate
