POSITION OVERVIEW:

You will work at our project located in Maple Ridge and be a self-motivated individual to perform general labour and miscellaneous tasks on site. Able to work independently, as well as interpret verbal instructions and carry tasks out in a timely and efficient manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General clean up of work site and areas
• Assist carpenters, painters, and other tradespeople on-site as necessary
• Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement and lumber) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
• Lifting, carrying, and unloading materials
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks
• Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)
• Other duties as needed.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, training and professional development

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT:

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
• Experience in similar role on construction sites is considered an asset
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery is considered an asset
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety rules
• Knowledge and capabilities for power tool use is considered an asset but not necessary
• Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
• Must have or be willing to obtain the following tickets: Fall protection, WHMIS 2015, Scissor lift, First Aid, etc.
