General Labourer Job at St Marys Cement Canada
We are currently seeking individuals to come to work for us within our Bowmanville Cement operations General Labourers working within the Production Department.
You will provide general labour duties and clean up support to our Bowmanville Plant to meet our health and safety, and production goals.
Responsibilities:
Obey and apply all Company health and safety rules in daily duties.
Conduct field level risk assessment before starting any task.
Clean up spills, leaks etc as directed by the Production Supervisor.
Operate mobile housekeeping equipment such as vacuum truck, skid steer, walk behind and bobcat.
Carry out confined space attendant duties.
Report all safety and environmental incidents in a timely manner.
Inspect all equipment and tools prior to use and initiate work requests to resolve deficiencies.
Perform other duties as required.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Qualifications
Successful completion of High School certificate.
Good communication skills
Previous experience working in a heavy industrial environment an asset.
First aid certificate desirable.
Ability to lift up to 45lbs.
Working at heights and confined space trained desirable.
Trained and holding current tickets for operating mobile equipment desirable.
Basic mechanical skills desirable.
