We are seeking a General Manager for our client Lobster Boys in Dipper Harbor, New Brunswick. As the General Manager, you will execute the strategy and manage the day-to-day operations of the facility.

Reporting to the Chief Operation Officer, the General Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the facility, which includes human resources, maintenance, the administration of the production management systems and production scheduling. They will lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts and cost reduction activities to create a high-performance work environment that promotes collaboration, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and goal attainment at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be hands-on in the day-to-day operations of the plant.
• Oversee all production planning and results including safety, quality & production goals.
• Develop budgets, forecasting, and full P&L responsibility.
• Work in tandem with the production team and be hands-on.
• Identify opportunities for manager/employee mentoring and implement effective, sustainable strategies.
• Create and manage the annual budget, preparing regular reports.
• Strategize, plan, and implement continuous improvement measures.
• Responsible for tank maintenance and upkeep of the plant.

As the ideal candidate, you have 7+ years of hands-on operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally seafood processing). You are well versed in dealing with complex supply chain management issues and are able to quickly change priorities when necessary. You are a proven leader with experience working in a dynamic and fast paced plant environment ensuring productivity, demand creation, and inventory are top of mind. You are a natural leader with strong decision-making and people management skills and display initiative, while demonstrating experience building, motivating, and leading successful teams.
