The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Geo-Technician to work in a camp-based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation.

This is an introductory role appropriate for new or recent graduates of a B.Sc. program in a geoscience related field, or anyone with a keen interest in exploration geology.

Job Duties:

• Complete geotechnical logging of oriented diamond drill core.
• Maintain core logging data in database.
• Sample and cut diamond drill core (fit-tested respirator required).
• Track and catalogue drill core and samples.
• Manage core sample shipments.
• Perform pre-operational checks, operate equipment, and perform all job functions according to Safe Operating Procedures.
• Assist geologists as required.
• Position Requirements:
• Fundamental geologic knowledge considered an asset.
• Post-Secondary Education in geosciences considered an asset.
• Core logging and cutting experience considered an asset.
• Experienced working with oriented core.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to lift core boxes weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.
