Job Title: Haul Truck Operator - (Heavy Equipment Operator)

Location: Northeast British Columbia, (Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, Mackenzie, BC)

Start Date: Immediate

Schedule / Terms of Employment: 12-hour shifts, (7 days on / 7 days off)

Primary Purpose

The Haul Truck Operator will be responsible for providing support to mine operations in an active open pit coal mine.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Komatsu 1500, Komatsu 830E, Caterpillar 785, Caterpillar 789 and Caterpillar 793 Haul Trucks to transport overburden, waste rock and coal from the mine.
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform pre-trip checks and complete FLHA’s on a regular basis.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 1+ years' experience in a mining environment.
• Completion of Grade 12
• Valid Driver’s License

Skills and Abilities

• First Aid/Mine Rescue Training is considered an asset.
• Physically fit with the ability to perform physical labor.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn.
