Worksite Safety *is expanding its instructor-led training team to meet an increasing demand for construction, oil & gas, and manufacturing safety education. If you are a knowledgeable and experienced health and safety instructor who is passionate about keeping workers safe, then this role is for you!

This instructor position could be delivering Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, and other courses at client sites and Worksite training sites in the Greater Vancouver Area and occasionally at other sites across the province. The role reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training and working hours will be approximately 40 hours per week (4 to 5 classes) from Monday to Saturday, scheduled in advance.

As a Worksite Health & Safety Instructor your key responsibilities are:

• Delivering engaging and informative training sessions
• Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
• Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
• Providing direction and advisory services to assist clients with health & safety programming and compliance
• Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops

The right candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

• 3+ years’ experience
• Training experience in Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry and/or Mobile Elevating Work Platforms preferred
• Background in construction, oil and gas management and/or occupational health & safety preferred
• Forklift, Elevated Work Platform and Confined Space Entry and Rescue experience an asset
• Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
• Responsible self-starter who can work independently, while also contributing to the instructor team
• Valid Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
• Reside and able to legally work in Canada
