Position Summary:

ErinoakKids is currently seeking a passionate and action oriented learner to fill a temporary position within our Human Resources Department. The HR Clerk will provide broad based administrative support to the HR and Payroll teams, and assist with projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the HR department with recruitment, including the preparation and posting of job vacancies, maintaining the HR mailbox, conducting telephone screening, coordinating and scheduling of interviews, reference checking, preparation of interview guides, conducting declines and participating in interviews as required;
  • Assist with new hire orientation process;
  • Facilitate the intake and administration of the student placement process;
  • Support payroll processes such as entering/updating employee profiles in Meditech;
  • Support benefit administration by inputting and maintaining employee information into various online tools; ensuring accuracy in data entry;
  • Oversee monthly benefit reconciliation process to audit and adjust any discrepancies;
  • Assist with pension administration and year-end reconciliation;
  • Issue ID badges for employees, contractors and visitors;
  • Prepare HR documents as assigned;
  • Assist the HR department with employee file maintenance;
  • Support HR related tasks on projects and other duties as assigned;

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a diploma or post diploma in Human Resources or actively working towards;
  • Achieved or actively working towards a CHRP designation;
  • Minimum 1 year of HR related work experience is preferred;
  • Strong ability to deal with sensitive information confidentially and with discretion;
  • Highly organized and able to independently manage multiple demands;
  • Previous experience working with a HRIS system is considered an asset;
  • Working knowledge of Meditech information systems is an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to carry out projects or initiatives while working independently;
  • Excellent MS Office computer literacy;
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check.
