Hydrovac Operator Class 3 Job at Cross Cut Directional Boring Ltd.
Job Summary:
Operation of a hydrovac excavation truck. Drive and operate a tandem or tridem hydrovac truck. Mechanical aptitude and a safe working style are required.
Duties and Functions, Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:
Preferred candidate will have experience within the utility construction and maintenance industry. Valid Class 3 Drivers license is required but a Class 1 is preferred. Current drivers abstract will be requested upon interview. Must be able to provide 3 years commercial insurance history or letter of experience. Must have the ability to manage time effectively. Must be self-motivated and be a positive influence on your co-workers. The candidate must be able to solve problems and exercise good judgement. They should have a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn.
Ability to read Prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities. Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment in a safe manner. Have safe working habits. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc. Must be physically fit. Must be able to work in remote or congested areas. Must be able to work out of town. Puts success of team above own interests. Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and work overtime as required.
