Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology and Records Management, the Information Technology Support Analyst will be responsible for delivering end user support services for all OIPC staff . This position is the first point of contact for OIPC staff for a range of support services, including help desk assistance, new hire orientation, account creation and deactivation, authentication, new application and program training, mobile application issues, video conferencing, and creation and management of service request with external program providers.
This position will manage the lifecycle of OIPC IT hardware (e.g., workstations, laptops, printers, scanners) and supports the Manager with the definition of IT assets and products suitable for the OIPC’s operational needs and privacy and security requirements.
In addition, this position will provide support for key business applications used by the OIPC, including but not limited to Microsoft products and Adobe Acrobat, and for mobile devices and mobile apps used by the OIPC.
The position contributes to IT governance and security by drafting, updating and providing training on OIPC IT and security policies and procedures and user guides and procedures.
As the successful candidate, you will have the following:
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, mobile devices, and other technology systems
- Ability to apply your knowledge and communication skills to effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide professional customer service, tailored to the client’s level of understanding
- Skill in effectively prioritizing tasks and a demonstrated ability to maintain composure and customer focus in high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion to keep information secure
- Ability to evolve in a rapidly changing environment and anticipate and adapt to changes in technology
- Qualities of a team player with a willingness to step in and help out wherever you can
Qualifications
University graduation in computer science or a related discipline. Equivalencies will be considered. Highly proficient with Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Microsoft CRM and Microsoft SharePoint would be an asset. Experience with video conferencing tools, Apple mobile devices, website content management systems, Microsoft cloud platforms, and experience with Government of Alberta administration tools including 1GX and Bernie would be additional assets.
Salary
$2,161.37 to $3,241.54 bi-weekly: ($56,411.76 to $84,604.19/year)
