The Opportunity
In this role, you will help to develop an ecosystem that is focused on:
- Meeting young people where they are (their phones, social media, school, etc)
- Helping young people understand how they’re feeling and what they might need
- Creating a safe space and building trust so that they feel comfortable getting help
- Providing 24/7 free access to a wide range of services
- Empowering youth to choose what service is right for them
This ecosystem is supported by robust technology, data, clear service navigation cues, and partners, with a focus on multiple ways to access the help youth need, where, when and how they need it.
As an Innovation Analyst, you will create an empowering user experience that supports young people as they navigate our services. You will use your product skills to balance service data, clinical best practices, and organizational priorities while serving the complex needs of our service users.
In collaboration with our data team, you will help prioritize and vet ideas, design lightweight tests that validate assumptions and hypotheses within our rapid prototyping framework. This role will be responsible for bringing big ideas to life and your decisions will create valuable lasting impact for young people seeking mental health support.
What You’ll Contribute:
Product Analysis & Service Design
- Develop and deliver measurable service user benefits through UX design and service innovation prototypes.
- Shape overall product strategy and support Innovation Team and stakeholders in their product decisions using quantitative and qualitative data to make informed recommendations.
- Complete business analysis within our Rapid Prototyping framework to prioritize ideas for testing and present marketplace outcome projections.
- Manage and prioritize a backlog of ideas submitted by stakeholders. Balance user feedback, funder commitments, and organizational strategic goals with rationalization on why certain ideas will be prioritized for prototyping.
- Demonstrate a user-centric approach by being an active advocate for service users.
- Use design thinking methodologies, including building personas, storyboards, flowcharts, wireframes and prototypes.
Trend and Market Analysis
- Work with colleagues and other stakeholders to research and understand business priorities, market opportunities, and key areas of opportunity.
- Conduct or review market research through primary and secondary sources to deeply understand customer problems and their root cause
- Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, and development approaches through presentations or written briefs to leaders across the organization.
Evaluation and Learning
- Perform initial product evaluations to assess and present the need for changes and their potential impact.
- Collect, track and maintain a database of lessons learned and support the broader team to apply and share learnings.
- Support the evolution of KHP’s impact measurement framework and rapid evaluation framework.
- Communicate results to a range of stakeholders through reports and briefing materials, working with internal teams to clarify evaluation findings and make recommendations.
- Maintain data collection tools including current user surveys and experiment with new methods of information collection.
- Participate in knowledge transfers within the team and cross functional business units
What You’ll Need:
- Business; Information Technology Management; Psychology undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 1-5 years’ experience working with integrated technology-based services
- A certification in Product Management, Technology Management is an asset (direct experience may be substituted)
- Comfort and confidence building strong relationships and leading cross functional groups through a UX design process
- Strong understanding of UX design and various delivery methods (e.g. agile, or lean)
- Substantial experience using user research and metrics to add significant value to a product
- Possess an acceptable "Vulnerable Person Sector Criminal Reference Check" prior to starting employment
- Possess a current “Police Reference Check” prior to starting employment
