Job Description
  • Work within a team, developing, building/integrating applications/tools;
  • review, analyze, and provide recommendations on software and applications interface documentation;
  • recommend software related system level solutions for capability, deficiencies, and changes to equipment and specifications;
  • liaise with software development and application technical groups to ensure system integrity, performance, reliability, integration and maintainability;
  • provide software and application integration, analysis, and evaluation support;
  • prepare the planning and procurement support documentation for software and tools;
  • review, analyze, and provide recommendations relating to software components and associated documentation;
  • conduct design, technical, and management reviews to monitor, advise, and report on progress and potential problems; conduct and/or witness software integration testing and evaluation;
  • conduct technical definition studies and options analysis;
  • perform any other work related to this category.

Qualifications
  • University degree or College diploma in networking, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field
  • Experience planning, configuring, employing and managing command and control communication and information systems in a distributed platform environment withing a client/server environment
  • Experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex communication and information systems
  • Experience in developing and documenting system management solutions (tools and processes) for command-and-control communication and information systems in mobile platforms or within a client/server environment
  • Communicating information technology framework/ strategies to management and technical staff
  • Perform strategic, operational, or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy
  • Canadian Army Signals experience (Desired)

Possible Tools & Tech experience:

  • Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio)
  • C++, Java, Linux, or other computer languages (Desired)
  • SAFe certification or equivalent Agile Sw dev Methodology (Desired)

Additional Information
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance
