Summary of position

As an International Registration Advisor, you will be the first contact for any potential international students. It is your job to present a positive first impression of the College to a prospective student or their education recruitment agent. You will demonstrate aknowledgeable, caring approach through prompt contact, informed responses, and respectful interactions.

We are looking for a friendly and positive driven professional, with experience working in the international education industry. Our ideal candidate is a friendly relationship builder who works well independently, is a master multitasker, and highly organized. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicationskills are essential.

Duties:

· Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and in-person promptly and professionally, making meaningful connections with prospective students and their agents.

· Provide complete and honest information about courses, cost, and policies to interested applicants.

· Provide campus tours to prospective students as required.

· Ongoing follow up on all inquiries to provide additional information as required.

· Process international student applications ensuring required documents have been received and are on file in accordance with company standards

· Conduct student interviews (virtual and in-person) as part of the enrolment process to assess their suitability for training

· Ensure student files are complete for any accepted applicants prior to commencement of studies

· Provide paperwork for study permit applications/extensions and send revised paperwork as required for deferrals

· Maintain up-to-date student files in our in-house CRM system

· Attend orientation sessions and ensure accepted applicants are informed or attendance requirements and other applicable policies and expectations.

· Work collaboratively with all CBBC staff and maintain open communication with campus teams regarding student status, enrolment, student issues, or any other matter that may be of concern

· Support students and ensure high student satisfaction level

· Weekly and Monthly individual admission reports.

· Arrange training proposals for applicants where necessary.

· Attend meetings, discussions, and information sessions on topics relevant to your position.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3+ years' experience working in service/relationship building role.

· 2 Years' experience working in the international education industry preferred.

· Post-secondary education in a relevant field.

· Friendly, energetic and positive demeanor.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Highly organized, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

· Understanding of other languages is a plus.

Assets:

· Experience in admissions recruitment, education, or outbound contact centre.

· Prior experience working with internet-based communication tools and CRM systems.

· Knowledge of IRCC’s requirements for international students and Nova Scotia’s initiatives and programs related to international students and graduates.
