L.H. Gray & Son Limited, better known as Gray Ridge Eggs in Ontario, began in 1934 in Ridgetown, Ontario by Lyle and Ina Gray.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the egg-grading machine to ensure it is in good, safe working order for continuous production.
• Reacting promptly to problems with the machine and resolving breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
• Monitoring the egg grading machine, visually inspecting components while running and troubleshooting any problems that are detected.
• Communicate with Machine Operators / Supervisors / Management persons any production maintenance concerns which may affect production.

• Operate and use equipment safely ensuring recommended personal protective equipment is in good condition
• Comply with all company policies. Practice safe work procedures, and keep areas neat and tidy at all times.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a licensed Millwright, Industrial and Construction (Journeyperson status 433A, 426A) or enrolled in the apprenticeship program.
• Several years’ maintenance experience servicing and maintaining processing and packaging line equipment in a production environment is preferred.
• Ability to weld would be an asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and skill at troubleshooting machinery is a must.
• Experience using computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Prior experience using mobile equipment would be an asset, but training is provided once on the job.

• Strong communication skills, able to provide clear, concise general instructions for team effectiveness.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision are required.
• Must be able to follow set procedures and efficiently and effectively prioritize and organize their and other’s work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $40.00 per hour
