Base Hourly Wage

16,00 $ - 18,50 $ per hour according to the salary grid and applicable years of service. (PLUS Provincial WEG premium of up to $2.00 per hour added to base salary, up to the maximum prescribed rate)

Hours of Work

30 to 40 hours per week

Mandatory Requirements

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· No post secondary diploma or degree required

· Bilingualism is a definite asset (French and English)

· Valid First Aid & CRP-C certificate

· Valid Food Handler certificate

· Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (CPIC)

· Interpersonal skills and abilities required to work as part of a team

· Competency to work without supervision

· Problem-solving skills

· Good time-management skills

· Leadership qualities

Overview of Responsibilities

· Adhere to Magic Triangle policies and procedures, as well as "CCEYA" and Health & Safety

· Plan and execute age-appropriate educational programming aimed at the child’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development, while applying Magic Triangle’s adopted policies and methodology

· Evaluate each child’s needs and adapt programming to the development level and interests of the group

· Reinforce positive behaviours

· Daily communication with parents, co-workers and supervisors

· Assist with or perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors
