Skyridge Montessori is seeking an Elementary Teacher to join our motivated and collaborative education team. Skyridge Montessori has been providing a high-quality Montessori education to families in Squamish for 10 years. Perched on the side of a mountain, with sweeping views of Howe Sound and endless trails at our doorstep, students from Casa to Grade 9 thrive in our newly constructed school, well-prepared Montessori classrooms, and rich outdoor learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement Montessori curriculum for elementary aged children.
- Responsible for planning and implementing activities that encourage children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
- Maintain open communication with families and colleagues.
- Maintain up to date student records and demonstrate proficiency with report and report card writing.
- Observe and record relevant information on each child's progress as required by school guidelines and the BC Ministry of Education.
- Participate in outdoor activities with children on the playground and our local trails.
- Participate in all school events including open houses, parent meetings, etc.
- Maintain classroom and all teaching materials in good condition.
- Assist in organizing school events such as concerts, workshops, open houses, and field trips.

Education & Experience
- Elementary Montessori Diploma (AMI / MACTE Accredited Training).
- BC Teaching Certificate (system-restricted) or ability to acquire certification.
- An academic degree from a recognized college or university.
- At least 2 years of experience within a Casa Montessori environment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
