Occupational Therapist Job at Turning Point Childrens Therapy
We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Halton Hills Academy. As an Occupational Therapist at Halton Hills Academy, you will become a member of our interdisciplinary clinical team which includes Speech-Language Pathologists, Counsellors and Clinicians.

The ideal candidate possesses:
- Current registration in good standing with The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario required; Membership in CAOT is preferred.
- 2-4 years of OT experience in a pediatric setting is an asset.
- Experience working with children with at least two of the following needs is an asset:
- sensory processing disorder
- feeding training
- handwriting training
- fine and gross motor delay
- Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, DCD
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Some of the requirements of the job include:
- Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments
- Write up Occupational Therapy reports as requested by clients.
- Treatment planning in accordance to the needs of the client
- Provide consultation and education to the parents/guardians regarding client's needs and goals.
- Maintain a good working relationship with clients and fellow colleagues
Experience:
- Autism: 2 years (preferred)
