OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

We are looking for motivated individuals to join the Sussex Sawmill team as an Operations Supervisor.

Sussex Sawmill has recently undergone a significant upgrade. We are looking for an individual who is excited to lead our experienced crews in this new environment to achieve safety, production, and quality targets.

The Job:

• Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met
• Performance management for a production team of employees
• Training and development for team members
• Meeting daily and weekly production requirements
• Scheduling personnel, submitting weekly payroll, and generating daily reports

Qualifications:

• Trade Certification or Associate’s Degree, preferably in a technical, mechanical, or forestry related discipline
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience, or experience in an industrial setting
• Committed to top performance in a safe work environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Available to work a weekly rotating schedule, which includes day shifts and night shifts
