Location : Barrie, Ontario

Job Title : Order Desk Representative, Motorcycle/ATV & Marine

Reports to : VP Finance & Operations

OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for ensuring all units (Motorcyle, ATV and Marine) ordered from our factory are tracked and allocated to our warehouse destinations according to business needs, as well as ensuring that all orders from the Suzuki dealerships for their showrooms have orders created and are shipped to meet their needs.
Effective, pro-active communication is critical to ensure the units are delivered and all team members involved in the process have up to date information during the process.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

 This position will coordinate all production and shipping of all Motorcycle, ATV and Marine products from factories around the world.

 This position plays an integral role in ensuring the efficient movement and invoicing of all products.

 This position will also be responsible to ensure compliance with corporate policies and work within defined budgets and guidelines.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

 Maintain and communicate product forecasting, trends and internally.

 Responsible for product receiving from factories into the designated public warehouses based on booked orders.

 Manage the relationship between SCI and the public warehouses in maintaining required services levels with respect to shipping, accuracy and minimizing product damages.

 Responsible to maintain low shipping expenses through the active management of carrier and lane selection while maintaining high standards of customer delivery service.

 Responsible to maintain detailed and accurate records of all Distribution costs, working closely with the Finance Department for both standard cost assumptions and monthly accruals

 Make suggestions to improve operational process to attain efficiencies and quality in scheduling and moving units

 Maintain current inventory and investigate discrepancies regarding monthly inventory at the warehouses and report to Manager and Accounting department

 Assign units to the dealer locations. Work closely with each District Sales Manager to ensure all commitments are made on a timely manner.
 Prepare month end and quarterly reports

EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILL

 University degree or equivalent College and work experience relating to supply chain management or logistics.

 Minimum 2 years of logistics and order management experience is required.

 High level of proficiency within Excel. Able to download and manipulate data to support business activities

 Excellent verbal and written skills. Bilingual in French and English preferred.

 Analytical, Organized, Accurate –attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $1.00-$2.00 per year
