All-Paws Pet Services is an established Sherwood Park & area dog walking and pet sitting company with a growing clientele. Job Description for Pet Sitters

As a pet sitter, you will be paid to stay in client's homes and care for their pets and home while they are away on vacation. This will include feedings, letting dogs outside for bathroom breaks, cleaning litter boxes, administering medication if needed, walking dogs, cleaning up pet messes, watering plants, bringing in mail, etc. You will also be required to go to an initial consult/meet & greet with new clients to go over all the information and pet care details you will need for the pet sitting job. This job requires people skills as well as animal skills!

This is a perfect job for an experienced animal lover that is not currently the sole owner of a pet of their own. This is a great job for a secondary student, or for someone wanting to supplement their part-time income. You would not be required to stay at the client's house for 24 hours a day, but you are at least required to be at the house between 9pm and 7am, and not absent for more than 6 hours at a time during the day. Pet sitting jobs can be during the week, on weekends, and over major stat holidays. Sitting job duration can range from 2 nights to 2 weeks at a time. Some months are busier with bookings than others. Most pet sitting jobs will be in Sherwood Park or surrounding area, including Beaumont and rural addresses.

Job type: Independent contractor

The pay is commission based and can vary depending on the number of pets at the home, and any added requests by the client such as dog walks, or watering their garden. You can expect to make a base minimum of $52/night, or $60/night, and more if tipped, extra walks are requested, or if you are required to do a half day sit (staying later than noon) on the last day of a sitting job.

• Be organized, responsible, reliable, tidy & mature
• Be comfortable and confident with all pet types and sizes
• Be willing to take a 10 hour pet first aid course (paid for by company)
• Provide references
