Canadian Helicopters is a helicopter transportation service, maintenance support and flight training company. In business since 1947, Canadian Helicopters is Canada's largest helicopter operator with over 20 locations across the country and a fleet of nearly 100 single and multi-engine aircrafts.

We are currently looking for a payroll administrator. The successful candidate will work in the payroll team located at the head office in Les Cèdres, near Vaudreuil-Dorion.


Job Description
  • Perform the complete cycle of payroll earnings, deductions, remittances, reconciliation of accounts and time sheet, year-end process, etc. ;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable payroll laws and regulations
  • Reconcile and maintain account balances;
  • Knowledge of laws in an environment under federal jurisdiction (pan-Canadian).
  • Ensure payroll procedures are compliant;
  • Responds to requests from government and relevant agencies when required;
  • Participates in the development and/or updating of company compensation policies;
  • Work in parallel with the team of payroll coordinators;
  • Be the point of contact for questions from employees and managers.
  • All other tasks related to payroll deployment (bimonthly).

Qualifications
  • Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) is an asset;
  • Diploma of Collegial Studies in accounting or other relevant field;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in payroll processing, including 3 years in Canadian payroll or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal laws and regulations;
  • Advanced proficiency in payroll software and applications as well as MS Office suite;
  • Good inter-departmental communication
  • Respect for confidential information, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism (French and English spoken and written)
