St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG) in Thunder Bay, Ontario is seeking Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team at our Hogarth Riverview Manor & Bethammi Nursing Homes. A variety of full-time and part-time positions are available.

As a member the interprofessional care team, PSWs work closely with the nursing team to ensure the highest quality of service for the residents.

- Bethammi Nursing Home is a 112 bed long-term care home with 2 resident home areas.

The ideal candidate will possess a progressive track record in providing exceptional client-centred care as a personal support worker. You will possess the following qualifications :
- Personal Support Worker Certificate; OR
- Registration as a nurse or practical nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario; OR
- Be currently enrolled in a nursing or practical nursing program.
- Experience working with elderly clients
- Experience in a long term care home preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
- Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the SJCG Immunization Policy IMS-04-005or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date. If proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption is not provided, the offer of employment is rescinded.
