Purpose

The HR Coordinator is responsible for all Human Resources functionality at the Processing Plant (with a strong focus on Health and Safety). The HR Coordinator will also provide administrative support to the production department with labour line up and agency workers.

Accountabilities and Detailed Activity:

Recruitment and Selection

  • Recruiting Plant Workers and coordinating and arranging interviews, managing vacancies.
  • Finalize all hiring paperwork and setup on HRMS.
  • Perform needs analysis with direct managers.
  • Extend job offers to successful candidates.
  • Finalize all hiring paperwork and setup on HRMS.
  • Liaison with the agencies for induction and providing resources.
  • Track all time worked for Agency and Employees and ensure time sheets and payments to agency is accurate according to the line up.
  • Handle payment of agencies for the labor hours in coordination with Finance.

Training and Talent Development

  • Performance Evaluations Administration.
  • Training Administration.
  • Responsible for training videos in Cafeteria.
  • Onboarding Schedules implementation.

Employee Relations

  • Compliance with Employment Standards Act.
  • Manage Disciplinary actions on HRMS and implementation of investigation policy.
  • Plant Tour Twice per day to check on any Team Member’s needs.
  • Answering team members inquiries and providing support to team members for all team related matters.
  • Manage Disciplinary actions on HRMS and implementation of investigation policy.

Employee Engagement

  • Manage Employee Engagement Event.
  • Enter new workers in the HRMS.
  • Employee Engagement Survey.
  • Responsible for implementing Team Engagement Calendar and Office events.

Health and Safety

  • Responsible for Health and Safety matters.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Promote a culture that is safety centric.
  • Involvement with Health and Safety committees.

Human Resources Administration

  • Responsible for Health and Safety matters.
  • Enter new workers in the HRMS.
  • Responsible for employee uniforms.
  • Responsible for all matters related to Time Attendance.
  • Setup and Maintain all records on the Time Clock.
  • Prepare Export Certifications.
  • Handle office purchases, order supplies for QA, office stationaries and set up.
  • HRMS automation and automation of HR processes.
  • In Charge of all Cafeteria matters, facilitate office admin matters, manage hospitality and the cleaning services/schedules.
  • Coordinate Employee benefits claims, boots policy claims, etc.
  • Provide support to General Manager in admin matters related to Appointments, Announcements, memos, archiving, mail, reception support, answering calls and any other requests.
  • Archiving and Mail Services.
  • Track all time worked for Agency and Employees and ensure time sheets and payments to agency is accurate according to the line up.
  • Handle payment of agencies for the labor hours in coordination with Finance.
  • Review GL Codes assigned from Finance and enter into the system.
  • Manage invoices assigned and Petty Cash.
  • Prepare end of month accruals of Agency payroll.
  • Finance Reporting and Finance Ad-hoc tasks.
  • Ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Run Finance reports assigned and send to related parties.
