Position Summary

We are hiring 4 Summer Play Facilitators for Camp Connect! This is a great opportunity for someone who loves to play and is looking for something fun to do this summer! As a Play Facilitator you will provide play opportunities and nutritious snacks for families and their children 0 – 6 years old. Camp Connect is offered in Redwater, Bon Accord, Gibbons, Legal, Morinville, and Fort Saskatchewan.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Build healthy relationships with families, community and the Families First team
• Facilitate play based group programming to meet caregiver and child development needs
• Build hope and resilience in families and our team
• Plan family friendly activities for Camp Connect
• Organize and assemble activity and information kits and snacks for children and families
• Provide support and encouragement to families
• Considerable driving required as programming will be offered throughout Fort Saskatchewan and Sturgeon Region

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children (0 – 6 years) and their families
• Group experience facilitating play interactions between children and caregivers
• Knowledge and experience in the areas of early child development, and attachment theory considered an asset
• Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
• Access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to provide criminal record check and child intervention record check
• An eagerness to embrace the culture and values of Families First Society

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months
Part-time hours: 15 - 20 per week

Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
