Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG’s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project approximately 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta. Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG Energy who have safety and efficient work practices at the top of mind.

Jardeg is recruiting Plumber Journeyperson with the MEG Energy Turnaround Projects team on site near Conklin, Alberta. This is a full-time/temporary position on 6/1 rotation day shifts and night shifts available. This is a drive-in / drive-out site.

The Plumber work involves preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installing/dismantling of systems and projects, as well as troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment’s.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings

• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.

• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

• Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.

• Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.

• Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition

Minimum Requirements:

• Journeyperson Ticket.

• Physical strength and stamina

• Construction Safety Training Systems 2020 Certification

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License (no restrictions) and a clean 3 Year Driver's Abstract
