** This is a 12 months temporary position
POSITION SUMMARY:

Product Manager will act as the business owner prime for Customer Premises Equipment, working closely with stakeholders both internal (procurement, product development, marketing, operations, finance, engineering etc.) and external CPE vendors. Reporting to Manager Products, Product Manager CPE will be responsible for business cases and providing support for key programs, business updates, as well as strategic and operational initiatives. Product Manager will be responsible for owning, establishing, managing CPE business rules and providing guidance for CPE planning, operations and lifecycle management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the subject matter expert and business owner for CPE providing guidance to the team members working closely with product development teams to ensure roadmap support
  • Develop and manage CPE vendor relationships to deliver on future CPE supply/sourcing updates and resolution of issues
  • Lead as the CPE prime for integration of various acquired ecosystems and support/guide the team to help assess impacts and plan transition
  • Define, manage CPE business rules according to changing business requirements and seek alignment with stakeholder functions
  • Monitor CPE business rules compliance with stakeholders to ensure end use case utilization and avoid impact to planned budgetary spends
  • Work closely with planning, finance primes to monitor & audit budgets & purchase orders to ensure accuracy
  • Provide operational and project support for cross-functional teams as needed
  • Track key performance metrics for CPE with technical and support teams

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC TRAINING
  • University Degree in Business, Computer Science/Engineering
  • Professional designations such as PMP, CFA/CPA, CSCP would be an asset
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Overall 8+ yrs overall with 5+ in Product Management preferably in Telco/Tech industry with ownership
  • Proven analytical, planning, data and financial abilities

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
  • Understanding of the telecom ecosystem with product lifecycle management
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills, and ability to develop relationships with key internal and external contacts
  • A strong bias for action and proven ability to work through ambiguity
  • Comfortable to participate in team discussions, guide product-related decisions and gain stakeholder alignment
  • Comfortable with regular senior Business level interactions with Directors & VPs
  • Proficient with Google Suite, JIRA/Confluence, MS Office
  • Bilingual: French and English is an asset
