What you’ll do:

• Set up & operate packaging machines
• Package products while ensuring good seals, correct bags, legible & accurate labels, and date codes.
• Understand work instructions and work orders to complete customer orders
• Able to lift 25kg (50lbs).
• Pile bags onto skids and wrap according to packaging slip sheet
• Continually monitor the line and troubleshoot for problems should they arise
• Perform quality checks as required
• Assist with proper housekeeping duties to ensure your work area is clean, tidy, and organized
• Perform other duties as needed

What you’ll have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable vehicle to travel to and from work.
• Previous packaging and manufacturing experience is an asset but not necessary.
• Fully capable of operating a packaging line (basic maintenance knowledge of packaging; logical problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills)
• Ability to continuously lift to 25kg (50lbs) without assistance (rotating positions that allow for ergonomic breaks)
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with fluctuating temperatures associated with seasonal changes.
• Work well with others in a team environment.
• Forklift experience required but necessary.
• Good housekeeping and Basic knowledge of health and safety.

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Packaging: 1-year experience is an asset but not required.
