Project Quality Coordinator – Phase 3 Job at Alamos Gold Inc.
This is a site-based role reporting to the Shaft Area - Project Manager the Project Quality Coordinator – Phase 3 will provide assistance and leadership for project quality assurance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other relevant parties
- Reviewing drawings, scopes of work and other relevant contract documents, for compliance with applicable building codes and quality requirements
- Monitor overall construction performance with regard to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.
- Reviewing contractor bids for accuracy and adherence to building codes and RFP specifications
- Managing project quality turn-over documents
- Consult on project specific quality control strategy
- Participate in work place inspections and construction methodology review
- Monitor and manage scope growth in engineering, procurement and construction contracts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical diploma with relevant industry experience required.
- 5-10 years experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control.
- Mining or heavy industrial construction experience considered an asset.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and requirements required.
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications.
- Excellent planning, leadership, organization and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact within all levels of the organization.
The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on a rotational schedule with flights provided from Toronto, Sudbury and Rouyn-Noranda. Role may require remote work and travel to vendor sites as required.
