Ready-Mix Plant Manager Job at Canada Building Materials
Established principally in Southern Ontario, Canada, St. Marys CBM is the building materials division of St. Marys Cement. We have more than 450 Ready-Mix trucks operating out of 40 plants; located in areas from Gatineau, Quebec (serving the National Capital Region) in the east, and spread 700 kilometres to Windsor, Ontario in the west, with an emphasis on the most heavily populated areas of the province.
CBM is seeking a Plant Manager for our New Hamburg plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise a unionized hourly workforce and maintains a high level of employee morale at the plant
- Supports the labour relations process through maintaining the collective bargaining agreement and managing grievances
- Manages and coordinates production, storage and general distribution in accordance with policies and procedures as established by the Operations Manager
- Manages customer and internal relationships (sales, QC etc.)
- Completes paperwork and reporting as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- At least two years post-secondary education plus some supervisory experience.
- Previous ready-mix plant management experience is an asset.
- Excellent people management, problem solving, decision-making and communication skills.
- Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel).
