Registered Social Workers/ Registered Psychotherapists/ Registered Psychologists (independent contractors) (remote position)

Vision Counselling & Consulting is looking for an exceptional, compassionate, and highly motivated registered social worker, psychotherapist, or psychologist to join our team. While we serve a diverse client base, we are receiving an increasing number of referrals for clients seeking therapists with a Christian background. Some clients would like Christian informed therapy while others simply want a therapist who is Christian identifying. At this time, we are seeking registered social workers, psychologists, and psychotherapists who can meet this need, while also being able to work with our non-Christian clientele of diverse backgrounds. The selected candidates must also be highly skilled in providing a variety of evidence based therapeutic modalities (e.g. CBT, Gottman method, EFT, DBT, ACT, exposure therapy, mindfulness, ART, EMDR, etc.). You will have the ability to create your own schedule and work from the comfort of your own home, however if you have access to appropriate office space and wish to offer in person sessions that is also welcome. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive and highly skilled group of therapists through our team consultations. Minimum requirements

• Completion of a doctoral or master’s degree in social work, psychology, counselling psychology, etc.
• BSW’s who can demonstrate significant training and experience in delivering individual psychotherapy may also be considered
• Professional liability insurance
• Full registration without need for clinical supervision and in good standing with the OCSWSSW, CRPO, or CPO
• Minimum of 1 year post graduate experience delivering psychotherapy
• Christian informed and identifying
• Reliable access to internet, technology, and a private office work space to ensure the confidentiality of clients while delivering virtual sessions
• Experience with electronic medical record systems or high computer proficiency that would allow one to learn quickly
• High degree of professionalism and commitment to ethical practice
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Assets

• Ability to provide couples and/ or family therapy (with a minimum 1 year of experience)
• Fluency in a second language
• Registration with an additional Canadian province
• Incorporation of attachment theory within practice
• Experience working with first responders, military, and health professionals
• Ability to provide evening and weekend sessions
• Existing case load of clients you would like to bring with you
