Sunrise Poultry, the largest individual chicken processing plant in Western Canada is currently looking for Production Workers to join our production line team. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are dependable and show up for work on time as well as thrive in a team-oriented environment. Day and night shifts are available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy
• Ensure that production requirements and standards are consistently being met
• Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
• Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all safety guidelines

· Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management

· Follow all written and verbal instructions

· Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude

· Packaging and processing of bone in and bone out products that would meet the company, CFIA and customer specifications

Requirements for the position:

· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and be a minimum of 18 years of age

· Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English to effectively communicate with teammates and leadership

· Able to work in cold temperatures of 0 - 10C

· Comfortable working with raw meat products

· Positive attitude and safety focused

· Physically capable of lifting, bending, and reaching

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

· Able to work 8-hour shifts standing

· Excellent attendance record

· Able to work around machinery and in a manufacturing environment

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Previous experience working with poultry an asset

· Previous packaging experience an asset

· 1+ year experience working in the food manufacturing industry preferred

· Certificates in WHIMIS and Food Safe is an asset

· Preference will be given to applicants with a Valid Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate. (First Aid Level 2 premium is offered)
