Welding and Fabrication Project Manager / Estimator

We are looking for a “Welding & fabrication Project Manager” that is required for one of Ontario largest custom jobbing shops located in Barrie Ont.

We are a fully equipped CWB and TSSA certified fabrication/weld shop with years of experience in most industries. We are looking to add to our team!

Our various welding processes include:

SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) SAW (Submerged Arc Welding) GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)

Our certifications include:

CWB W59 with qualifications under W47.1 certification of companies for fusion welding of steel and W47.2 certification of companies for fusion welding of aluminum.

TSSA repair and alteration of boilers and pressure vessels in accordance with CSA standard B51, Power Piping ASME B31.1, Process Piping ASME B31.3, and Refrigeration Piping ASME B31.5

We need a minimum 5 years’ experience as a “Welding & fabrication Project Manager” with knowledge or back ground related to that field

You will be responsible for project from “cradle to grave “including lead generation, estimation and management of project throughout the build / installations life-cycle.

Able to maintain existing relationships with clients, build upon them and generate new clients.

Full understanding of standard welding processes and related operations.

Able to determine appropriate methods for completion of varying welding projects.

Ability to generate cost proposals based on information provided from blueprints, site visits, samples parts and interactions with customer representatives.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills a necessity.

Previous hands-on welding experience an asset (but not required).

Basic knowledge of machining techniques an asset (but not required).
