Marianhill is a charitable long-term care facility located in the beautiful Ottawa Valley. We provide specialized care for 200 long-term care, complex continuing care as well as a 3 bed Hospice Palliative care unit.

Marianhill is currently seeking a Full Time Scheduling Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Director of Care or designate, the Scheduling Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely data entry as well as maintenance of daily staff schedules in preparation for the Home’s payroll submission and for implementing approved schedules of work and maintaining accurate staff records. Such duties are performed in accordance with Marianhill’s Mission Statement, established policies, procedures and current legislation and in a manner which respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-respect, self-determination and autonomy of the client and promotes maximum independence.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work with scheduling software, computerized records and a variety of sensitive information to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to respond positively to last minute changes that may occur.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a co-operative manner with fellow workers.
  • Must have the physical capabilities compatible with the current physical demands analysis for this position.
  • Must be flexible and have the ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Must be able to work within established time frames.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade12 education is required.
  • Post secondary business/secretarial program or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience with scheduling software is essential. Preference will be given to experience with IDT, QHR or similar software.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Scheduling experience in the LTC setting an asset.
  • Demonstrated competence in MS Word, Excel, Scheduling and electronic mail.
  • Oral and written proficiency in English is required.
  • Excellent attendance is essential.

Hours of Work: To be discussed

Wage: $30.69 per hour (currently under review) + pension, health benefits, paid vacation, paid sick time, and free parking.
