Security Guard - Fire & Security Services - Regular Full-time (SBSecurity2022FT) Job at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre
We currently have a Regular Full-time opportunity for a Security Guard in the Fire & Security Services Department at our Bayview Campus.
Hours of Work:
Weekdays & Alternating Weekends: Days, Nights; 12 hrs; As per schedule
Statutory Holidays required
Summary of Duties
- Perform security and fire prevention duties and patrols as directed
- Act as a member of the internal fire team and crisis team
Qualifications/Skills
- Must have a two year community college Law Enforcement diploma
- Must hold a valid Private Security Investigators license
- Completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Course
- Previous related work experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare setting
- Must have valid driver’s license, Class “G”
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fire-fighting and evacuation methods
- Sound problem-solving and decision making abilities
- Trained in tactful communications
- Tactical training in handcuffing
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in team environment
- Basic First Aid and CPR level C
