Position overview:

Paragon is looking for a highly motivated individual for a supervisor position in a residential building located in East York. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday (0600-1400).

Role and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all staff are performing their duties efficiently and in a positive manner in accordance with all company policies, post orders, federal/provincial statutes
• Responsible for in co-ordination with property manager or their designate, provide instructions to staff for onsite training and continued training
• Advise Service Manager of required disciplining of staff for misconduct
• Review staff performance
• Assist staff with difficulties pertaining to the job/responsibilities
• Ensure post orders are up to date with any changes that occur
• Ensure there are sufficient supplies/equipment on site at all times
• Supervisor should display the following characteristics: diligence, positive attitude, sensitivity, common sense, caring, confidence, discipline
• Supervisor must make every effort to display a professional, confident attitude and to lead by example
• Perform your duties in accordance with contract requirements and directives issued by upper management, property management etc.
• Ensure staff keep their security post clean and tidy
• Provide property managers with all reports that occur on site
• Inspection of staff D.O.R and S.O.R for content and neatness
• Ensure all equipment is properly functioning and notifying appropriate personnel accordingly
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
• Ability to coach, motivate and mentor staff
• 3 Years of security experience preferred
• Police foundations, hospitality education preferred
• Excellent computer skills
• Team player
• Ability to delegate and empower effectively
• Flexible and adaptable in dealing with a diversity of situations and people;
• Customer service experience
